Urban Activities

Urban activities in Egypt are organised by several laws, the most famous law is building's law 119/2008 which is known in media as "Unified Building Law". Also in order to control and organise demolition of non ramshackle buildings the Egyptian government issued the law 144/2006 for Demolition and conservation of  architectural heritage.

Building's law controls issuance of several permission for many urban activities as shown in the above figure, while demolition law controls only issuance of demolition permission for non-ramshackle buildings.

The most famous  permission is issued by municipality is Permission for establish new building.
